Shivansh Sethi can we get data from esp8266 on arduino? i mean we setup softAP on ESP and hosting a small webpage on arduino with few forms to get input from user over the wifi.
i know people uses simple http url request to turn on or off the led. but i want to get input values like numbers, strings entered by user on their phone. this can be used to configure arduino over wifi.
is that possible?

Yes it is possible try using Arduino as a i2c save to the esp8266 .try implementation of it using websockets rather than http server on the esp.
