Hey guys couple questions / comments

  1. What voltage do you actually need this to run at, do you need 12v? If so, what can 5v not power?
I’ve seen some pretty large capacity cheap LiPo’s out there which could work, they’re cheap because it’s only 10C , which is still way more of a kick when you need it then a laptop power bank could do and won’t drain as fast as a high C rated lipo. Now li-ion do have their advantages too, so an 11.1v laptop battery might not be a bad idea depending on use case.

  2. Those car components seem very expensive, something like this I’ve seen on the internet for about $70, it’s a bit pricey on Amazon for $90 right now, but still would be $20 cheaper than current total - https://www.amazon.com/SunFounder-Raspberry-Robotics-Electronic-Included/dp/B014KK89BW , although logitech camera is probably better, I’ll take a look at gear best and banggood later to see if they still have the kits they used to have

Anton We need 5V for the Pi and 12V for the motors.

That alternative kit looks great. :)

Robert Lancer How will you power it? It won’t work with AA size cells. It needs 18650 sized cells, i.e., cells having diameter 18 mm and length 65 mm. AA cells have 14 mm diameter and 50 mm length.
