IDEA

The idea for the drone and the podium is great. Lets make the heads and servo mounts such that the same could be used for both. We could 3D print the exoskeleton for the head and use either cosmetics or a printed head texture. To what degree are we hoping the movements to be?

So there are 2 options here, option 1 is that people come up to the candidates, the candidates may look funny, and we just have a sign that says tell them what you think about a certain issue that’s in the news, that issue could change each time we go out with the bots, this would not involve the bots speaking back, I think this may be enough since there was a funny or die video that went viral and that was only people telling the camera what they think of Donald Trump.

The degree of movement of the neck doesn’t really matter to me, if we were to do more movement based bots I would say the second possibility is that we make a 2nd set of servos which would somehow connect to the mouth and move the mouth up and down, the servo setup wouldn’t be that hard, however making mouth look somewhat realistic while a speaker inside talks back would be pretty hard under the tight timeline constraint.

Great Anton Volt . Yes the use of more complicated movements would only require more time. Wanted to ask one thing, would we give some context to the people visiting our candibots (candidates in the bots, lol) ? One idea could be the use of an LED panel that would display some very short trending topics connected to the candidates so that people would know what to react to.
