MILESTONE

We have officially entered the PROTOTYPING phase of the Pizza Drone Project. Check out some of our preliminary designs that we will be moving forward with. Thanks team for all of your help so far!

Some of the work we’ve done

Contributions
Faiz Ur Rehman

Faiz is a super eager engineer looking to push forward entrepreneurial ideas. He did amazing work bringing energy and motivation to the project in this stage – as well as designing much of reel mechanism for the pizza drone. He has also been extremely valuable providing industry research relevant to the project and the competition we are dealing with.

Abdelhamied

Abdelhamied is a real engineer. He’s always coming up with new, visual ideas, in a very rapid fashion. In this project, so far, he’s been the main driver of the 3D #CAD modelling we’ve done for the drone, and has brought many excellent designs to the table.

Darpan Pudasaini

Darpan, firstly, is an amazing person, who is incredibly eager to work on innovative projects. Most important to collaboration even beyond skills, is the attitude and easy personality of the person you’re working with. Darpan showed incredible ability to 3D model the drone, and organize parts of this project. We now look forward to pushing forward the Pizza Drone :)

Steven Reubenstone Check out this video, a few seconds in, to see an autonomous drone going through a window-type opening - https://youtu.be/5l27chpTzhg - looks applicable to getting a pizza through a door.

I’ve seen other videos from them where the drone is carrying a suspended load and needs to go through a hoop that is smaller than the drone and load height. The drone stops short, the load swings through the hoop and the drone follows it without missing a beat…
