MECHANICAL SYSTEM AND MOTORS

Hello, Guys! I have seen we have built up a great community and this project has received a considerable attention! There are exceptional engineers and passionate people here who are helping others to a great extent.
Now we have reached a great level except mechanical design and motors as you all know. I want someone to carry out this task, who has prerequisite knowledge about motors and gear systems. I am listing out some points that one should focus on.
Task

*Which motor should be used in Wheelchair?
*Driver and battery go hand in hand with the motor. So please throw some light on this if you can.
*What is gear ratio? How to decide that? What would it be in our case? **

I have got a chair and we can consider that as a reference. I am also listing out the parameters/specifications for this chair.

Check out this link:
https://www.healthvistas.com/wheelchairs/power/ostrich-mobility-verve-lx-power-wheelchair.html

Spec: 24v,24Ah
No of Batteries: 2
Input: 230-240 Volts AC Single phase
Output: 24 Volts-5 Amps DC
Power 220W
Speed 4200 rpm
Brake Electromagnetic
Gear Ratio 32:01:00
Power 2400 W
Current 50A Max

Kindly, explain the above specs if you could. Thank you!

Well, Solar panel is just for the backup!
It also serves a purpose to provide a roof.

Hey Shrey Fadia
let’s focus first on the basic fundamental components
focusing on solar and dynamo and all at this stage will make it difficult for you to prototype

This motor you had sent is very small and can not take human weight, but can drive your only the wheel chair

i would recommend you to go with http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEFT-DRIVE-MOTOR-Jazzy-1113-ATS-Electric-Wheelchair-Part-LH-Rear-Wheel-Hub-OEM-/122528370419?hash=item1c87428ef3

Yes John Rodrigues that’s why I sent you that link. Well, how did you decide that previous motor will not be able to carry the person? Is it bcoz output power is 60W?
