WHO ARE WE AND WHAT WE DO?
“Four unidentifiable high school students lost their lives earlier this mornin’ when their toy rocket exploded.” said O’Dell . This line cracked me up while watching October’s Sky movie. Homer and his friends were working to build a rocket after he got inspired by the launch of Sputknik 1 in 1957. The idea was born in Homer’s mind, he teamed up with his friends and then it was finally executed after the collaborated commitment, hard work, knowledge and passion towards one project. They were actually implementing the theory they studied at school and thus got more enthusiastic what was hindering the launch of the rocket.
While living in the 21st century, most of us hang out with our buddies to fill up our stomach and taking a break from doing the “we have to get promoted to next grade” things. Maybe because it is really hard to find some person in school, neighbors or nearby who shares your passion and desires so that you can collaborate together towards one goal. While surfing the internet more than twelve hours in the day of your life, how cool it would be if you find a team just like Homer and you could actually bring the idea you just imagined once to life by collaborating virtually. People all around the globe could see the working of your project and mentor in the tasks involved. Or you could just get just join in someone’s project and help the person in making his project work.
The idea of virtual collaboration is actually executed in Collaborizm.com . Its CEO, Steven Rubenstone, faced the issue of finding a team. So why just convince someone near you walking zone when you can reach the passionate person oceans across from you. Because now if you have an idea weather it’s a pizza delivering drone, developing an app or building comfortable heels that every woman could wear , you name it, describe it, divide it in to small tasks and starts the discussion to let the new members join in and collaborate with you.
So, next time the idea pops in your head do log in with your facebook or linked in account to collaborizm.com and share your thoughts because a journey of a thousand miles always begins with one step.
“The journey is what brings us happiness not the destination.” realized by Dan Miller in the “Peaceful Warrior” movie. Welcome to the collaborated journey!
Eph, here is the rough draft.
