I think you can put use the mechanism similar to the one shown in the movie Wall-E.
Imagine a line follower robot - which used the RGB color sensor mechanism to detect its path. so each robot is designed for unique color code- thus when the customer has arrived, the path to that table glows in the respective color and the robot can travel to that corresponding table.

That is a nice idea…
But my concept is about making “discission making robot” use different paths to reach its destinations not follow the lines…

RGB path following mechanism was suggested with the idea that- quick and shortest time for arrival to the Table with less complexity in choosing the path.
Imagine there are branch line paths from the main line of robot station. when the customer triggers the call switch for the waiter, the path to that table lights up in a specific color, thus the robot get activated and follows the path to that table and takes the order and returns back to the station,etc… RGB is suggested so that many colors are put to use for different table or different call or different robots
