Hardware Github?

Is there a good site that is to hardware what Github is to code? I want to upload Eagle files, documents, etc so they can be worked on by our project team. I’d also like other developers to see the results of the work so it can be used in an open-source way. Let me know your thoughts!

A week went by and no replies, so I went back and did a deeper search on this. Here’s some of what I’ve found so far, in case it is helpful to anyone:

Other people working on open source hardware projects have the same need: http://mach30.org/2016/03/21/hosting-oshw-on-github/ and this is what they came up with when they built a minimally viable product: https://opendesignengine.net/

Upverter (http://upverter.com) is a free option, but seems really focused on getting boards made - not exactly what you need if you’re building projects that extend beyond a PCB like robotics and wearable tech.

SparkFun Electronics put a lot of their parts on GitHub in 2013 and here is how it worked: https://prezi.com/u4qdknagrrlg/open-sourcing-hardware-with-github/?webgl=0

… but still nothing like what I’m looking for.

Let me know if you find anything I missed…
