Another project, which I am helping Shrey Fadia is SMART WHEELCHAIR which needs mechanical design insights.
We would like to know, what should be the motor torque and power to carry a human plus some extra weight carrying capacity for safety. For now, we have assumed the power of the motor to be 250W, is it good enough for a wheelchair? What are the other parameters we need to consider?
Since its a wheelchair safety is number one priority, what are the things we need to keep in mind as we design?
