Hi Narendran Ashok

I’ve designed a power generating circuit, with battery backup, considering only low cost and commercially available components.

I’d be grateful if my peers here could review it. I’m not an Electronics engineer.

Here’s the description of the circuit:

A few thoughts:

  • Since the current and voltage generated by a piezo crystal will be very less, we can use an array of them, probably 2S5P.
  • Piezo crystals must be placed under the heels and also the soles to generate more energy.

Out of topic, but if we ned to generate more energy, we could try with a geared DC motor as a dynamo. We will need to design a crank mechanism, similar to those used in hand-cranked torches. They will be placed under the heels to generate power.

PS: I’m grateful to my friend John Rodrigues for intoducing me to Collaborizm.

Actually Piezo is too cheap… so we can make several array of piezo based on the size of sole and use… but will we be able to power a GPS and GSM which requires more current

Narendran Ashok Thank you. It was developed during my first year of engineering for private use only. Later, a few of my friends started using it and only due to their support and encouragement, I launched it on the Play Store. So all the credits go to them.
This app was made at a time when mobile Internet was less popular. I myself haven’t used this app from the last 2 years as I switched over to Whatsapp, and development ceased in early 2015 as I had to concentrate on my studies.
