your bot is looking good, and in order to make it more efficient and cleaning the entire room try electric beacon type sensor navigation which roomba floor cleaning robo does.For navigation algorithms just go through SLAM(Simultaneous Localization And Mapping)Which maps the entire floor.For slam implementation you need to have kinect sensor or lidar. And try A* and D* path planning algorithms also.

yeah slam approaches are little bit complex . you can try beacon based navigation like roomba floor cleaning robot i think it can be done using arduino …
