We may turn down the idea of using any game engine at the client side ; instead we will be using our own customized game engine. This gives as more flexibility but it only supports limited platforms. It’s a trade off between convenience and scalability. We know the mess of creating an entire game- engine for both client and server . We will have a discussion on this. Members please share their whats app number and Skype Id if any- ASAP. And we are running short on sound engineers and artists - Modelers, peoples with experience on graphics software’s. All the innovators and passionate peoples are also invited to this venture.

we would do the beta testing in my college server , if want to run the test , then i can get a permission to use KTU super computer for it. After a overview on the run results we would take an apt decision at that point of time that suits the needs.

Downloaded a high definition map from NASA. Now we will use a image processing library in cpp to virtually scale the map . Server side developmet have started .

Why do you need nasa’s map for a fantasy game?

We are using the real world map as the game world map ; And the entire game goes on in a single world map in which all our players will interact with each other. So we need a big world map that can hold the entire objects of all the players. So to create a big map like this we need to scale the map. If we chose a map with low resolution , when we scale it it would be catastrophic . So to prevent this we need a base map with high resolution, sharp and well defined edges. For this we downloaded the map from NASA. We will now convert it to black and white and scale it to our needs.

Holding an entire map in the RAM is technically nor feasible, so we will have a basic map and we will then virtually scale it to fit our needs. If we have a low resolution map- when we scale it it wont look good. If we have a HD map then scaling wont be a big problem. Thats why we took the best HD map from NASA to do the job.
