QUESTION
  ·  Mark as Answered

Due to the nature of a bed, and its ability to absorb movement/energy this may be hard to accomplish by having the solution inside the bed.
Perhaps angling your idea to focus on wearable technology may prove to be a great introduction into progressing onto the project.
If you would like to look into sensors, the key word would be ECG (Electrocardiograph) sensors. There are countless resources only a google search away as to making one yourself!

Very interesting problem.

Options:

  1. Sensing the heart beat and filtering from other unwanted noise.
  2. Alternate way to sense heart attack - needs a bit of research - I have expertise in biology as well, can study and revert
  3. Explore on existing solutions and arrive at a scheme - as mentioned, some googling will help for sure.

How about a wireless handband sort of technology? some ideas of developing a band sort of heart rate sensor. It can be wirelessly integrated into a reciever… Please share how you feel about the idea.

It’s very good idea. To make this, first the heartbeat should be sensed by wireless device and it monitor continuously.
