Drastic changes!

Sorry guys, was inactive for a week. I see the story has been decided and the main character as well. I think we need to make some changes :

  1. I think we should revert back to 2D since the isometric view would make the fights terrible and slow. Isometric view would be good for games that need exploration which we are not planing to do. The isomeric view also would take lots of art work which would slow down the first release(since we only have a few graphic artist).

  2. The treasure of Neptune story is too complex, as we are creating retro style game. The game, the story, needs to be short and simple. The game shouldn’t need an intro(like mario, contra). The game that Elvis mentioned about hell’s dungeon seems good to me. It sort of fits into the dungeon environment since people consider hell to be a dungeon like place. We could reveal the story as the game progresses(why the main character is in dungeon and all), I don’t mind incorporating the pirate idea into hell’s dungeon. Something like MC being a pirate and has amnesia, basically he forgot what his life was like, before dying and on the way to escaping from hell, finds out why he is in hell (the reason could be everything you guys came up with till now, like he being a pirate, etc, etc)
