Narendran Ashok has done a magnificent job leading his Sciencotonic startup on Collaborizm.
Sciencotonic is an Innovative Learning company which focuses on improving student education based on leveraging augmented reality for learning and practicing new material. Sciencotonic helps students understand more with an AR simulations, a DIY Hacker Space for them to work, and an Economic E-store for parts needs.

What Excites us about the Venture
The Team: We think Narendran is capable of leading this venture with the right support. He has impressed us to date with his energy and ability to actually move forward with his ideas and get them to prototype form.
Market Opportunity: Education is a big market. AR is a technology that has proven itself to be attractive to consumers. We also feel it has been untapped in its potential to aid with education.
Competitive Positioning: We like the combination of combining virtual learning with a parts store. If done right, it can provide efficiency to the consumer – who may be looking to both learn online and build physical things. The model/structure has to be developed considerably further – however that’s why we’re here.
Stage of the Venture
The venture is in seed/super early stage. The prototype is up and running which you can see via the url above. Some basic business strategy has been put together, and a team has been formed.
Collaborizm’s Recommendations for Startup India Hub
Specific Points to address
Brand & Competitive Positioning: This is where we feel the team will make or break the opportunity. The company needs help with language, branding, and how it presents itself against the market to the consumer.
Narendran and his team need mentorship on laying out a realistic product roadmap. Right now it is not focused enough. It needs to get much tighter – and it needs to correspond to an overall go to market strategy.
Sciencotonic needs to develop an official financial/business model around how their business will work and generate cash flow. It is not particularly clear what the numbers look like – parts – where they will be sourced – how this will scale – what the relationship quantitatively is between the ed side of the business and the retail side of the business.
Our Recommendation: ➡️ We feel this all fits under the category of mentorship. We believe pairing the Sciencotonic team to the proper mentorship that can address the areas above make a tremendous difference for Sciencotonic.
