IDEA

Lets also make a simple wearable that connects to the app. One thing on my mind is a belt that can vibrate. So lets say we make a belt which has 8 vibration motors attached to it. The motors would be placed such that each motor represents a direction. The app could vibrate respective motors to tell the person to go into a direction. This way, we wont have to use sound for guiding the path and the person can listen to his favourite song while navigating ( 😄 ) .

That’s a really good idea actually because one limitation I facing is my solution might require covering the years and actually making them somewhat noise proof. The problem here is while navigation a blind person mostly rely on the surrounding noise and if we would cover the years it might cause trouble instead of helping

I will be compiling a detailed document soon, explaining what possible paths we can take, but I am a little occupied these days and also I am waiting for an expert to give some views on this

Ya please do. My team had made a wearable shoe for a wearables appathon and won the appathon. The idea was to install vibration motors in the shoes and shoes would vibrate to guide the person along the map. I guess we could come up with any comfortable wearable like that and integrate it with the app.

#Nouman Tahir, great going with the project, this would greatly help the blind to navigate, though a very tedious excercise it is worthwhile for the cause. I hope you have done a lot of interaction with blind and the schools for the blind, their receptors of sound and feeling are very strong and these should be the domains of moving forward. Hope to see the project turning around very soon.

Thanks Sir, actually we are in the process of making these interactions and we are collecting some great feedback and ideas.

I am working on revising the basic project concept based on these feedback, a big picture is we are diving projects in three different projects that will converge at some stage to make a complete system

Yes Nouman Tahir the task of dividing the project seems good. Lets work the details out and then we could start working on it.
