Ekta, I think your ideas and vision are great! Personally I feel, there are great directions and possibilities in the aspect of “emotions” and “experiences” on the web.
For years people have considered the web as simply a “source of knowledge”, but it’s much more actually, today. It’s filled with not only the entire human knowledge - but also the collective human experience, and that aspect is a field that not many have yet gone to.
I often find myself thinking about those aspects of emotions, experiences, and the internet. One of my private projects that I’ve started - is creating “an emotional map” of web pages on the internet, by averaging textual and imagery content, and cross-referencing them with a database of emotions that are associated with certain words or colors. There exists several DBs like that. There are also many databases of facial expressions and their related emotions.
These are things that can contribute to your ideas, I think.
Also, don’t pay attention to people “demoralizing” you, or telling you things like “that can’t be done”. Everything is possible, and I know what it’s like to have your head filled with great ideas, and a clear vision of how it all comes together, but the reality is “too slow”,
and the fact that it takes time, and resources and other people to accomplish things can be depressing; but with enough determination everything will be fulfilled at some point.
