Ahmed Ismail you need to express better why you want this project to succeed and what your vision is.

  • What are the real value additions for creating something like this?
  • What is the MINIMUM viable execution? Is that feasible?
  • What’s the smallest thing you can prototype to prove you’re on to something?

Definitely think through this first. Then you can have a well defined to do list to accomplish, and everyone will be happy.

Well, first, this project is only for “consumer-side-thingy-exploration-for-better-internet” intention, it is not intended for a wider and commercial scale.(well, for now)
It could be a community helping community for better connection(future vision) rather than relying with the ISP’s limited bandwidth experience, not in general, but there are places that has limited bandwidth with expensive fees, not to mention the downtimes that may occur and sometimes will not deduct on subscriber’s monthly fees.
This project is also not intended for areas that has people that can afford even if how much expensive the ISP will bill to them. Maybe because they have jobs that can provide them more than their internet bill. It is intended for areas that has people who wants to start doing internet business or a business that needed connection or wants to browse for a tutorial to start the business.
This also can make the internet coverage wider and wider, because the target is the last man will pass to the last man, without a very expensive idea of communication towers that the ISP deploys in different areas. And to think that the cost of every tower will be carry to the consumer cents by cents (and hell the consumer will not be owning the tower).
Everyone can start in a very simple and small community, maybe in your neioghborhood (can be in a group of 5-10), I’m not telling that the supreme-ultimate-purpose will happen right away, it needs time. (you will know why)
TODO: Make a group in your neighborhood - (5-10 members), acquire atleast two internet connection, build a simple cache server each member, make the server talk to each other. Browse the internet daily. Share your connection to non-members. Think for innovation.

  • when I launched this idea ,I was wondering if we are already have wifi devices (smart phones , laptops , etc ) in the same area then it should’t be a problem to connect to each ether regardless of your ISP connection ,this means we could all share pre-downloaded data , make a small comunity as @Leomar Medino Jr. said .
  • you will just pass the connection and the data you want to share .
here in EGYPT we have slow and expensive internet connections and we do suffer a lot
if this project is theoretically applicable ( I have no background in network or IT but I am trying to get feet wet) then there will be a lot of possibilities.
  • I am also thinking about passing the leadership to a nother team member who is competent enough to continue this project.
