Hi all this is my first time to post. I want to make a coin operated printer using VB. The task is VB language detect the pages of documents if it says 5 pages it will prompt please insert 5 credits if it inserted it will now print the pages. =) that’s my 1st services

Let me make sure I’m on the right track so I don’t keep wasting your time.
We will have a tablet running the main program to control the printing & credits. An arduino with the coin slot that will trigger a +1 to a credits counter in the main program when a coin is inserted. Once the credits = the # of pages the main program will start printing & every page printed will trigger a -1 to a credits counter.

It’s 5AM so if I’m asking silly questions forgive me :)

yep that’s right ! =) its ok my friend its 7pm asia time. currently am doing a trial and error how to browse file and read how many page are all so that it will be printed

I’ll mess around some today & see if I can come up with anything useful.
A few thing I did think of. Locking the file browser down so it can only get to the USB/SD so you don’t have people where they don’t need to be. Checking the file size before loading so you don’t try to load a file into memory that’s larger than your system can handle( I ran into this problem a few years ago)
