Recently I made a decision, one that my parents aren’t going to like (but I’m not a teenager anymore so…). Since I left school I’ve studied computers in one way or another, college, university and even worked in IT until I was diagnosed with epilepsy and had to quit my job. I did this mainly as a compromise. My parents wanted me to study business or accountancy as they saw this as something that would lead to a secure and successful career, it wasn’t what I was interested in. Around that time computing and computer science was a huge thing and I thought this was at least a little creative so took a B-Tech National Diploma in Computing at college followed by the Higher National Diploma in Computer Studies, focusing on Multimedia in the second year at university. Sure I got the grades and I actually kind of enjoyed it but deep down I knew that that wasn’t what I wanted to do in the long run. See I am one of those people that needs to be passionate about something to be successful at it and that thing that I’m passionate about is art and in particular concept art and illustrations. I have made the decision to focus on improving my skills, learning new skills and doing all I can to get the exposure that I need to hopefully take commissions and build a following. Getting my art out there is an ongoing mission, thank goodness for social media I say… :) I intend to post more of my work on here in the near future, I hope all of you will too!
