its possible if we can provide a trust equal weight on hoverboard… we use fastest motors which have to blow air continuously and provide proper trust …but main problem is balancing and power to weight ratio …

yes very much possible. In fact that has already been done. But in that case it hardly remains a hover board. it becomes very very bulky for simply one reason which i pointed out previously - weight. Trust me it is fairly easy to say that we simply need to give proper thrust and actually doing that is a different thing al together. balancing comes much later. First you need proper thrust to counter the weight.

I think we can build thrust using blowers/fans. The base of the hovercraft will be a little bigger, but definitely achievable. Two fans to build the upward thrust and one two produce forward thrust. The fins can be designed and fixed so that they are controlled with legs of the rider to decide how high and fast one wants to go.

why don’t use small jet engines to achieve thrust and can b control comparably easy by controlling each ones thrust individualy?

Jet engine is the most practical of all ideas if you need to make the hoveboard compact. The reason is simple because jet engines have a better size to force ratio and hence with comparatively smaller size you generate more than enough force. But then that will mean that you need to first work on the engine itself. if you are going to balance a 70 kg / 700 N man with a 20 kg / 200 N machine then the machine has to take on about 1000 N of upward thrust. Which means with 4 engines we are loking at a minium of 250 N per device. So you need to make one first with a minimum load bearing capacity or thrust production of about 300 N.

Hover board can be made based on maglev levitation but the base should be electrically conductive producing opposite field to the hover board. You can see the link below to get a good idea about hover boards
