TASK
Open
  ·  Close Task

Some tasks based around the structure of the head:

So I found a decent mask, we can at least use it as an example when thinking things through. So the good thing is that this mask only weighs 0.3 lb. so we should be able to keep the weight down using some type of mask like this.

  1. What are some good materials we can use to create a extremely light weight frame inside the mask to keep it expanded? (Bamboo? etc…)

  2. What should this structure look like? (Can someone sketch it out?)

  3. How does the structure stay in place? (what’s used for fittings?)

Anton Voltchok we should focus on a lightweight mask at all cost because even if we downgrade the mask in a worst case scenario to like a piece of paper haha we still can cut out all the complexity of builting a contraption to hold the weight. literally in this design you need a wooden stick glued to a servo motor.

That mask I posted weight less then 1/3 of one pound, so that would be perfect, but now I got this crazy touch screen LCD screen for a face and funny trump wig idea in my head that literally takes the web app on the go… I’m gonna sketch some stuff out, let’s pause on the hardware side of things until I get that up

Great going guys, I can hear Trump already hehe.
What about the bearing assembly, do you think it will be required for now?
Just wanted to share an idea i got this morning. If the weights would really make things difficult for the head, we could also attach the head to body without any servo and instead rotate the whole body about its center. We could use an accelerometer to know the approximated rotation.

But its just an alternative if the head is too heavy on the servo.

Anton – once you make your next post, I am going to start assigning some tasks for whatever I am responsible for (cart, etc). Keep us posted.

I also know we were also leaning towards web app as well which is totally fine with me and also a great strategy.
