Step by Step Project Plan

I need to find a freelancer to build this application. We are being aided by the Collaborizm Innovator Fund, and my own modest investment.

This gig will focus on setting out a project plan. The freelance will work with me to determine next steps. The deliverable will be an official public posting on this page (as a milestone) as what the Project (gig) Plan will be.

Excellent job here Ranjan. Next thing…I want to think in terms of “Lean” startup…eg…Minimum Viable Product – what is the bare minimum release we can create to get this to market? And then add more features after.

We need a much greater simplified version of this app spec’d out first.

There are still some questions Shalini Sundari needs to answer.

  • Target age? 4 years old? 10 years old? 18 years old? 24 years old?
  • Super noob? Beginner? Intermediate?
  • User personas developed by Shalini. – Shalini create 3 “fake” story’s about 3 people that have certain problems, and how you envision them using the app to achieve a certain goal.

We need to do this to understand exactly what we’re building. I am going to wait on shalini to upload answers to these questions.

Yes

Let’s follow the lean startup principle as Steven mentioned.
The target age group is 14-21 years. Most of these kids are in Higher Secondary and Undergrad courses and not many courses on the web cater to improve their creativity.
Also there are many companies that offer workshops that last for a day or month (most of which is rote learning) and cost very high.Parents still pay for them thinking it’s rocket science!

Secondly , I suggest we start off with beginner level. Most kids in India don’t even know what an Arduino is and we must address that first and foremost.

For the user persona, I shall take videos and post it in a week’s time.

Lastly I would like to thank Ranjan Dailata and Steven Reubenstone for the valuable inputs.

Shalini Sundari We can ask or request students and professionals to build tutorials, videos etc. Arduino official website tutorials are great by themselves but unless we make it a step by step simplified version of tutorials, there’s no real use. Will see how to proceed with the tutorial development.
