I’m Gerry DeSeve an engineer based in Philadelphia. I developed an open source technology which helps keep people cool. I’m looking for entrepreneurs who want to use the technology to start their own business in India. This contest is for the community to present a business plan.
This business plan contest is seeking to find, fund and support a start up that can take an innovative new cooling product to market in India.
Project intro video:
The huge demand for cooling in India creates a significant opportunity for entrepreneurs who can disrupt the traditional air conditioning paradigm.
The Cool India project on Collaborizm is one of these disruptive innovations: it is a open-source wearable personal cooling system that is low-cost, light weight and runs using a small amount of power.
The winners of this contest will work with the Collaborizm community to bring to market a product based on the Cool India technology.
The goal of this contest is to help you launch a successful new business. The winning entry will be the team with the presentation that best demonstrates how open-source personal cooling can replace traditional air conditioning, lower energy use and reduce pollution in India.
Show us your best ideas in a video, presentation or written Executive Summary.
The winning entry will receive a cash prize of (₹36,000 / $550), fundraising support for the long-term operation of your idea, access to the Collaborizm Innovators Fund, mentorship from Collaborizm super mentors, a suite of Autodesk product management tools and full access to the core cooling technology platform.
