Hygiene Specs

Anna, it’s very important to provide a write up of the key specifications for your “definition” of a hygienic device.

Hi Anna Gannon to clarify, when you say “Both the bag and the device would remain untouched by the waste throughout the entire process” do you mean the OUTSIDE of the bag? Because of course the inside, that is holding the dog poo would get poop on it. 😀

Good point - yes, the outside of the bag would remain clean so that the interior of the device stays clean. The waste should be confined to the inside of the bag only.

Btw just want to note I love this word: receptacle.

that being said… Anna Gannon…what ali is saying is key because a bag is a very complex structure to model. it’s a two sided manifold. So it’s important as mechanical designers we recognize what the constraints are on this manifold, how it folds, around the solution.
