IDEA

We needed a way of tracking and managing money for buying or paying within a project.

Excellent idea provided by Sandhan to better think through how Collaborizm manages money between teammates. He thoroughly explained the concepts of trust – and shared some ideas on how to do this.

I think he meant keeping account of expenditure. Something like Splitwise. Sorry if my assumption is wrong. Sandhan Sarma

Harsha Alva yes, you are right. In a project, when we want to build some things. Some teammate will have the skill the build, while others might want to back him with expenses. We need a trusted way to share, invest money while doing a project.

We do plan on having a sponsored project feature and a pre sales / sales feature but before we actually develop those features let us know what funds you are looking to raise and what could potentially be offered to backers. We are looking to work with projects to help them raise cash like we did for Nepal’s Light

My idea is simple. Its same as how we did projects in college, we each contribute and collect some money, to buy things for our project. In that case, we had knew each other, we had that trust factor, so we could easily share resources and money.

My question is how do you apply the same principle to this platform, where the members are from diverse backgrounds?

Sandhan I really appreciate these ideas, it really helps me visualize our next steps.

Would you see the execution being different depending on the project type? Which Projects do you think would work well with a pure “I trust this person” factor vs. something more formal?

I think it will be best if its a formal way. Its much better, clear, transparent and can be tracked. Including both may create confusions and divide.
