HELLO

Over course of last decade, I have focused building end to end scalable web and mobile applications. I started web development consulting in 2006 and developed websites for Mckinsey& Co. using .NET technologies. Since then, I have worked @VC Funded Startups, @Microsoft, @Google and built native iOS, Android, and Window phone apps which are consistently rated very highly in their respective app stores. Recently, I built @YoAccess - an app to discover, share and automatically connect to nearby WiFi hotspots using #Android, #NodeJS, #MongoDB, #Bootstrap, #HTML5, #CSS3, #AWS. This app is supported by Facebook via FBStart, Microsoft via BizSpark and IAMAI via Mobile 10x program.

Currently, I with a small team of elite developers run @Squad where we help companies to build their software products. Please reach out if you are interested to speak to our existing clients to learn more about our work.

Educational Background:
B.Tech in CS from IIT, PhD Dropout from Iowa State University.

Welcome to Collaborizm. Just a suggestion to remove “PhD Dropout” as it doesn’t look good. I have seen folks proudly saying that, which I am against as it’s not a fun thing!

PS: I am proud of you graduating from IIT 😃

Ranjan Dailata I would disagree with the dropout remark in terms of software development, things move so fast in this area that anything you would learn in school is going to be outdated and likely years behind, again only speaking in terms of software development

Anton Voltchok It’s not about being outdated or not. I would question, is there a necessity to explicitly say “I’m a dropout”? I would consider it shameful and not a proud thing.

Do you know how many executives shamelessly say ‘I’m a college dropout’. Of course they are successful which I don’t really care 😃

An Education is “Education”, you can never equate with money or how talent you are or being up-to date.

Ranjan Dailata I would argue that it would be shameful to NOT dropout when you know you are taking a large amount of your money, pouring gasoline on it, and lighting it on fire.

If you have paid $30,000 and invested 4 years of your life, and after that you are no where near up to standards of the workplace you invested to be prepared for, it’s hard to say “shameful” when someone realizes that’s not the best way to go for them. Again, I’m saying this only in context of software development, this cannot be said about the vast majority of fields people pay to get educated in. I would also argue employers would not care one bit about this fact in this field specifically ability outweighs any education background
