@[Abdelhamied Mostafa] Instead of the magnetic field concept, maybe we can play with gas? Look for a gas lighter than air like Helium, then maybe modify pressure and temperature.

Another concept is the submarine technology. Consider air is like the ocean, and the hoverboard is the submarine.

I have not done any calculations. just throwing ideas 😄

or you could use super conducting magnets with its own hover board track beneath it containing magnetic field , guiding it to move forward using repulsive force.

If you are going the magnetic route simply spinning two Halbach Arrays at high-speed over copper sheet will stabilize the platform.
