Write examples for Arduino library

I’ve made EasyNTPClient, an Arduino library to read Internet time from Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers.

A major use case is syncing the time of a Real Time Clock (RTC) like the DS1307 from the Internet.

The library is added to the Arduino library index and a basic example is provided.
I need help in writing examples, but I don’t have a lot of time on my hands, so I request collaborators to help me out.

Wrote example code for using the EasyNTPClient library on an Arduino UNO with an ESP-01 (ESP8266) WiFi module.

Shrey Fadia Thank you.

There is one example available:

  1. Basic (NodeMCU) – Displaying UNIX timestamp from an NTP server.

And the following examples are being written:

  1. Basic (Arduino + ESP8266) – Displaying UNIX timestamp from an NTP server using ESP8266 as a receiver module.
  2. DS1307 (NodeMCU) – Syncing time of a DS1307 RTC from an NTP server.

Feel free to write your own in return for attribution.

Abhi Verma Thanks for the interest.

I don’t know if it works as I have no experience with GSM modules. If you can use UDP with GSM, I assume you can use this module too.

Please try the basic example. If you get any errors, post them here so I can make it work.

GSM Modules have TCP and UDP protocols. I think it should work. It’s a API based service or anything else?

Abhi Verma Not an API. Just handles UDP, parsing and offsetting time zone with GMT.

Abhi Verma Ok then. Please try the basic code with GSM modules, modify if necessary and let me know if it works.
