The trust offers several scholarships/education grants for higher education: General Education Grants, Sir Dorab Tata Merit Scholarships, Dr SR Moolgaokar Scholarship, M. Phil scholarships, and a scholarship of Rs 6,000 per annum is also given to a trainee at the Training Ship Rajendra Chanakya. The Trust also offers Travel grants for short-term studies abroad as well as for attending conferences, presentation of papers for research and sports related activities. The grants range from Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000. Applications are received throughout the year and the grants are processed based on an internal appraisal process. A panel of educationists interview candidates recommended by their respective colleges. These scholarships are provided till the student completes his or her first degree.
The application may be made by way of a letter, by email, or in person. The following documents as may be applicable should accompany the form: Marksheets from SSC onwards (college studies) / school report (school studies); Proof of family income - salary certificate or tax returns or similar proof; Proof of residence (ration card); Student’s Identity Card; Copy of the fee receipts; Proof of the college being approved by Association of Indian Universities and the course being approved by Accreditation Board of AICTE.
