Thanks Ranjan Dailata for your input. A platform that I mentioned here isn’t meant to be a Collabirizm clone. In fact, what I meant by platform, is a hardware platform and a software platform where kids can build on top of it. So the kids get a biped robot and an intuitive based programming app based on scratchjr. The kid can then add additional functionality to the robot, using add-ons and extra sensors and add the functionality using the mobile app. So a kid can choose to add infrared sensors to the robot acting like a gun and have robot duels and scoring appears on the scratchjr UI.
I checked out Kidrino and it is a wonderful effort to put in tutorials together for kids in a simple interface. My only intake though and from my experience with working with kids, it would be a bit boring for them as they wouldn’t be able to see a significant achievement whilst working on a very low level hardware concepts. I would love to see some tutorials based on programming and building biped robot like zowi. In fact i think it would be great to include those tutorials that teaches how to build biped robots and other inventions into the scratchjr based interface. I think it would be an amazing collaboration between both projects.
