Faiz Ur Rehman

  1. Measure data on the toothbrush and send to user’s phone.
  2. Process on phone, large RAM is an advantage.
  3. Update brushing pattern/location/time, etc on the screen.
  4. repeat

Harsha Alva I am little confused, then what is the purpose of PID Controller. There should be an actuator for whom PID is to be designed, isn’t it? . otherwise simple get data from sensors send to phone for processing. Please clarify me a bit.

You guys are on the right track. It’s hard for me to perfectly manage this, so I will say, do your best and submit a final design in what ever format you’d like either directly here or via google drive.

It is excellent to diagram and determine all the components needed. But all I am looking for is transfer function, block diagram, parts used, etc. We are not going all into designing this for real. Is that clear now? I am trying my best to simplify this so it is a fair task.

I don’t think a PID is required for this project. It’s as good as an open loop controller. The user can decide to put the brush away in spite of the warnings from the app.
