The aim is to build an android app for kids in school so they are able to learn Arduino and Raspberry Pi. The app is to have tutorials that teach circuits and stuff related to that project. The entire learning is divided in levels. Each level increases in complexity. Completion of each level should be rewarded. The interface must be easy to use.
Teammates & Contributors I’m Looking For
Android app developers, teachers, hobbyists, people who could teach Arduino and Pi, etc
Where I Need the Most Help
I need help in building the app. Inputs of how the app should be structured will be posted. People who would like to make tutorials on Arduino are welcome.Other hobbyists who could contribute are also welcome.
Why Sponsor This Project?
The sponsors will be able to visualize an amazing app built that thousands of school kids use to learn building stuff. This provides with a sense of achievement as well as satisfaction.
What’s in it for people who join?
The teammates are highly valued for their contributions and will be given credits for their investment in developing the app. It would be great to collaborate with highly motivated people in the community who are willing to help to educate the kids with their talents.
Why I’m Passionate About This Project
Teaching in India is mostly theory based and less of hands on experience.Hence kids are unable to build projects on their own. The consequences are that they tend to think making projects is difficult and ultimately give up. With tons of open source environments like Arduino and Raspberry Pi that are available today, I believe it is possible to build an app for the kids that help them learn Arduino and Raspberry pi in the form of tutorials, etc. This way they will be able to bring their imagination into reality.
