STORY

Project Overview

I’m developing Internet Controlled Multi-purpose robot. It’s called kandybot because it will be developed using kandy.io and specially for Hackathon(#kandyhack) . The robot can be controlled from android app through internet. From android app you can control the movement of robot as well as gripper’s. By using kandy.io API we can be able to watch the live video from robot. I already design the 3D model of the robot.

There will be two android apps, one as a controller and one for the phone mounted on the robot. The phone mounted on robot communicated with arduino using bluetooth(Note: I’m using bluetooth so that I can control the bot locally without using internet just in case).For realtime movements I will be using Firebase Realtime Database.

Current Task in Progress

I’ve already tested the kandy.io and firebase on android app. It works great.
So I’m building the demo robot to test the integration between android app and arduino.

I’m looking for android developers, arduino programmers, robotist enthusiasts and if there are anyone from Kandy.io who can help me please join the project.

What I want to Accomplished

I want to create a fully functional robot controlled by internet. So If I forget to do something at home (say I forgot to turn off the lights) I can easily start my app and move around my house and turn off lights. Or It can be used in Zombie Apocalypse to shoot zombies(Hope we’ll have Internet if not we can use bluetooth).
