IoT Based Bio-metrics System at University
for less than a year

Biometric authentication, most often termed as simply biometrics is used to verify the identity of a living person depending upon some physiological parameters, despite the entire cross individual similarities. In view of importance of Internet of Things, this design and implement, the cloud-based biometric attendance system using a low-cost IoT device Raspberry Pi. This project work has many advantages like desktop notification about the individual attendance info to the concerned person and checking own database by using both web and Android App from anywhere in the globe.

Automatic License Plate Tracking With IoT at University
for over a year

Automatic Vehicle Registration Plate Recognition(AVRPR) is a pattern recognition application with great importance in vehicle counting, traffic surveillance and law enforcement. This system also offers users to place, mark out and monitor moving vehicles automatically by extracting their number plates. The proposed method for License Plate Recognition (LPR) system works in three modules: localization of license plate, segmentation of the characters and recognition of the characters from the license plate. Character recognition is done by using K-Nearest Neighbour Algorithm. Accuracy of more than 90% under testing dataset.

Digital Notice Board with IoT at University

Project targets to the digitization of the old notice board where the authorities will enable with the feature of the Internet of Things. The authorities will have a web platform where they will update the notice by logging in. The Raspberry Pi will fetch the information from the web and it Display on the LCD screen. A custom app is made with Java, which will do this job of fetching data from the web database. The Web platform is made with PHP, java script and MySQL Database.

7. Hand Gesture Recognition Using Arduino at University

Gesture based systems are now live in these days. People wants to control everything from their hand gestures. Considering this problem, I have developed a system which uses Accelerometer and Gyro Sensor for getting the orientation of hand in space. I have used Arduino with it for defining different gestures and then on matching the gesture the system responds to that gesture.

Motion Sensing With MATLAB and ARDUINO at University
for less than a year

Surveillance systems are the new most important part of any security systems. The research is made on making the intelligence camera with addition of motion detection capabilities to it. This paper proposes a motion detection system by implementing Matlab image processing toolbox for real-time processing along with a voice feedback system. It also uses an Arduino UNO board interfaced with different hardware like LCD, Buzzer etc to display the result. The image processing is made with pixel colour scaling and comparative method in the real world environment.
